The S.A.F.E. Center, like many helping agencies, relies on community support. Donations are used to directly assist with the provision of services to victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault.
There are several ways to donate:
- Financial Donations- Personal checks, cash and money orders are accepted by mail or in person. All personal checks and money orders should be made out to, “The S.A.F.E. Center.” Tax receipts are available upon request.
- Donation Drives- Many individuals, agencies, churches and other community organizations hold donation drives to benefit The S.A.F.E. Center. Generally, agency supporters use our wish list to get the word out about what items are needed and contact our office to make arrangements.
- In-Kind Donations- All in-kind donations, especially large items like furniture, must be approved by office staff. Office hours are Monday-Friday between 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
- All items must be clean and in working condition.
- Due to federal safety regulations we are unable to accept infant cribs that were manufactured before 6/28/11.
- We can, however, accept pack n' plays and toddler beds as we have clients in need of them.
- Due to limited storage space, we are unable to accept the following items:
- Out of season clothing
- Out of season holiday items
- Items that are in need of repair
- Misc. household décor items
- Any other items that can not be used by clients immediately and/or be temporarily stored
